Public Works crews will be jetting City sewer mains throughout the week. Sewer jetting cleans sewer lines and drain pipes using high-pressure water streams to blast clogs, debris (such as grease, roots, etc.), and other obstructions to prevent backups and to maintain optimal wastewater flow.
Due to the high pressure, this maintenance can cause rattling of toilets or water to be sprayed out of the toilet. If you live in areas listed below, we recommend you close the lids of your toilets.
Locations for Tuesday, April 22 and Wednesday, April 23 are:
94th Street to 93rd Street from National to Burnham
81st Street to 75th Street between Lincoln Avenue to National Avenue
89th Street to 81st Street between National Avenue, Burnham Street and and Lincoln Avenue
