There are many great places to get outside in West Allis! West Allis is home to four Milwaukee County parks, three biking and hiking trails, and over a dozen City-owned parks. Explore and enjoy one of these beautiful parks today.

Some City parks can be rented for your party or celebration, and those that are available for rental online are noted below with a "Rental Information" link. Please review the Park Usage policy before reserving a park space. Online rentals can be paid for with a debit or credit card.

Note: The sheltered area at Liberty Heights Park will not be reservable after Sept. 2, 2024 due to major construction to replace the Field House.
West Allis Parks
The City of West Allis proudly owns and operates the parks and green spaces listed below. West Allis parks are open from 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Mini Park: 58th Street and Beloit Road
This 0.1 acre mini-park is located on a triangular lot at the intersection of S. 58th Street and W. Beloit Road. Park amenities include landscaping, flower beds, benches and a paved path. Mini Park: 60th Street and National Avenue
This mini-park contains 0.1 acres and is located at the intersection of S. 60th Street and W. National Avenue. It includes three benches, flower bed, landscaping, and a paver path. Tree species include ironwood, yellowwood, redbud, blue spruce, and Canadian hemlock.
Mini Park: 64th Street and Greenfield Avenue
This 0.3 -acre park is located at the intersection of S. 64th Street and W. Greenfield Avenue. It includes four benches and a paver path. Tree species include maple, linden, and honey locust.
Railroad Park: 82nd Street and National Avenue
Railroad Park is a 0.3-acre mini-park located at the intersection of W. National Avenue and S. 82nd Street. It includes benches and flower beds. Tree species include Norway maple, honey locust, linden, blue spruce, and crab apple. View Railroad Park, 82nd and National Gallery
Arnold Klentz Park
This 4.1-acre neighborhood park is located at 2601 S. 72nd St. Park amenities include softball fields, a playground, funnel ball, bag toss court, and game tables. Burnham Pointe Park
This formerly vacant lot has been transformed into Burnham Pointe Park, a community gathering space featuring a play area, seating, and a small stage for live music or other events. Bump-outs, curb markings, parking stalls, and bike lanes have been established at the 60th Street and Burnham intersection to calm traffic and provide a safe atmosphere for cyclists and pedestrians alike. 16 new planters beautified the intersection and created green spaces. Honey Creek Park
This 3.7-acre park is located at 1999 S. 84th Street. The park is adjacent to Franklin Elementary and contains trails with historical information markers, a Little Free Library, gazebo, and is home to West Allis Historical Society and Museum and the Historic Log Cabin Schoolhouse. Outside the museum, explore the Memorial Garden, an outdoor tour of architectural relics salvaged from West Allis’ past. Tree species include spruce, honey locust, ironwood, oak, horse chestnut, yellowwood, redbud, elm, Norway maple, sugar maple, hickory, filbert, cedar, Austrian pine, linden, and birch. Joyce Radtke Skatepark

Kopperud Park
This 2.7-acre park is located at the intersection of S. 76th Street and W. Pierce Street and features a limestone arch and green space. It contains open space, a path, and benches. Tree species include maple, linden, elm, oak, pine, spruce, crabapple, and ash. View Kopperud Park Gallery
Liberty Heights Park & wading pool
This 6.5-acre park is located at 6101 W. Orchard St. Site amenities include a wading pool, picnic shelter, softball field, and basketball, tennis, and sand volleyball courts. Reservoir Park
This 13.2-acre park is home to the West Allis Little League and is located at 9621 W. Lapham St. Amenities include youth baseball fields, a picnic shelter, playground. Rogers Park
This 1.1 acre park is located at 2023 S. 75th St. The playground includes a play structure, swings and a small memorial plaza. Tree species include pine, maple, honey locust, linden, ash, oak, horse chestnut, and redbud. View Rogers Park Gallery
Rogers Playground
This 0.7-acre mini park is located at 2014 S. 56th St. The park includes a playground and open space. Tree species include ash, ornamental pear, and ginkgo. View Rogers Playground Gallery
Roosevelt Park
Located at 938 S. 58th St., Roosevelt Park is a former West Allis-West Milwaukee School District property which the city purchased from the district in 2017. With Community Development Block Grant Funds, the city updated the park's play equipment, adding climbers, slides, rockers and swings, along with a poured rubber surface for safe play. Veterans Memorial Park
This 1.85-acre park is located at the intersection of W. National Avenue and South 70th Street. Its amenities include a memorial plaza, a playground, flower beds, bocce court, and the Fitness Court. West Allis Dog Park
West Allis Dog Park opened in 2019 and offers small dog and large dog play areas for unleashed dog exercise. Park passes are $5 per day or $25 per calendar year for residents and $5 per day or $50 per calendar year for non-residents. Prices are per dog. You must bring proof that your dog is neutered or spayed before you can purchase a dog park pass. Proof of current rabies vaccination is also required. Visit dog park page.

Greenfield Park & Cool Waters Aquatic Park
Greenfield Park is a 150-acre county park located at 2028 S. 124th St. The Cool Water Family Aquatic Park is located in Greenfield Park and includes a heated pool, water slides, and interactive water features. Other park features include playgrounds, sand volleyball courts, a baseball field, picnic shelters, and natural areas. The park is connected to both the New Berlin Recreation Trail and the Oak Leaf Trail corridor.
Lafollette Park
This 18-acre county park is located at 9418 W. Washington St. Facilities include a pavilion, wading pool, softball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts and a playground. The pavilion and athletic fields are available by reservation for group events.
McCarty Park
McCarty Park is a 50 acre county park located at 8214 W. Cleveland Ave. Facilities include the McCarty Pavilion, a pool, ball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, sand volleyball, play equipment and a lagoon. The park is connected to the rest of the county park system via the Oak Leaf Trail corridor.
Rainbow Park
This 25-acre county park is located at 700 S. 119th St. adjacent to Walker Elementary School. Facilities include a playground, a wading pool, tennis courts, and ball fields.
Milwaukee County Trails And Bike Paths
Existing trail corridors include the Hank Aaron State Trail, which runs along the northern city limits of West Allis and into downtown Milwaukee. The trail is a paved multi-use path and connects to area landmarks such as State Fair Park, Miller Park, the Harley Davidson Museum and Mitchell Park. The Hank Aaron Trail also connects to the Oak Leaf Trail, which is West Allis’ other major trail corridor.
The Oak Leaf Trail is a 118-mile system of off-road trails, park drives and municipal streets designed to guide bicyclists and pedestrians through the Milwaukee County park system. The corridor runs through the Underwood Creek Parkway, Greenfield Park and the Root River Parkway on the city’s west side. Another segment goes through McCarthy Park and follows an on-street route to the north on 84th Street. Learn more about these trails at Milwaukee County Parks’ website.
