Below you'll find helpful tips for cleaning up after the holidays, including Christmas tree disposal:
Remove all decorations (ornaments, lights, tinsel, garland, etc.) from trees before putting them outside for pickup.
Place Christmas trees where your garbage is collected. Do NOT put them in the street. The City will collect trees through the end of February on a special collection separate from your garbage and recycling pickup. The collection schedule will be performed intermittently throughout the week (dependent on staffing and weather conditions).
Any ribbons, bows, and Styrofoam go in the garbage or should be saved for reuse. These items are not recyclable. This includes gift bags with ribbons as handles.
Recycle plain wrapping paper, plain tissue paper (no glitter), and cardboard boxes.
Excess garbage and recycling can be brought to the Municipal Yard for disposal during operating hours.
