Anyone operating a food truck, trailer, or pushcart must have the following:

• A Food License issued by the Southwest Suburban Health Department or a food license from other jurisdictions/municipalities in the state of Wisconsin.

• A Service Base license or Retail Food Establishment License for the service base or variance for no service base from the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP).

• Certified Food Protection Manager Certificate, if necessary.

Failure to obtain and display the above will result in a citation and the inability to operate.

• License fees are based on the complexity of the food processes.

• Food truck operators licensed by the Southwest Suburban Health Department are not charged an additional inspection fee.

Note: the Environmentalists or Fire Inspector may impose additional requirements or restrict food operations based on the equipment present in the truck.
