Biography

Originally from Kenosha, WI, Chad Halvorsen graduated from St. Joseph High School in 2002. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from with a focus on film production and studies. His professional background is in media/film production, where he owns a small business called Workshed Productions. He has also worked with [REDACTED] Media, producing over 50 short and three feature films. Chad and his wife bought their first home in West Allis in 2013. Chad is proud of how far the City has come as its industrial past has evolved into its modern future. He feels the community’s biggest strength is our growing diversity. He believes diversity creates a more empathetic and stronger community, one that can take on any challenge. In his term, he hopes to strengthen the perception of West Allis by legislating innovative ideas and serving as a good steward and advocate for the City.

Biography

A West Allis resident since 2015, Marissa attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri and holds a bachelor’s degree in safety management. She attained her Certified Safety Professional certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. She has developed her career in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) working in the heavy industry (power generation, steel mills) as well as manufacturing. She currently serves as the EHS manager for a large manufacturing company in Milwaukee. Marissa chose to live in West Allis because she loves its dedication to growing the community and making the City the best place to live, work and visit. Marissa believes West Allis has some of the best restaurants, parks and businesses in Milwaukee County and she is thrilled to watch the City continue to grow. In her term, she hopes to strengthen communication between the District 2 alderpersons and constituents.
