Biography

Martin J. Weigel graduated from Wauwatosa East High School and studied engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). He moved to West Allis in 1980 and opened the original Benno's Bar and Grill at 7232 W. National Ave. Benno’s would continue to be a West Allis institution for the next 41 years, during which time it relocated to Greenfield Avenue. The location, quality of life and value of living in West Allis are valuable to Martin. Having previously served as second district alderperson for over 20 years, he hopes to continue the progress the City has made by improving the City’s image, continuing responsible development and protecting that wonderful quality of life.
