A large room filled with tables where people are both sitting and standing and networking.

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting the inaugural West Allis Business Conference: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs at The Gage.

The morning was filled with powerful stories of entrepreneurship and leadership, meaningful networking with local business owners, and valuable insights into the resources available to support small businesses. Most importantly, we came together to strengthen and celebrate our vibrant community of entrepreneurs and small business owners.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this event possible — from our more than 200 attendees, to our inspiring keynote speaker Marla Poytinger of Bars & Recreation, to our incredible moderators and panelists (Lisa Sullivan of WWBIC, Sandy Hurtado of Las Cazuelas, Jamie Phoenix of Ultratwist Vintage, Lucy Torres of Aroma Café, Emily Cialdini of Land by Label Athena Agoudemos of the Small Business Development Center, Nina Timber and Judy Timber of The Gage, Carrie Cieslak of Carrie's Crispies, Lisa Coons of Transaction Skate Shop LLC and My Aunties Kitchen, and Citlali Mendieta-Ramos of Antigua Latin Inspired Kitchen), to the City of West Allis staff involved in planning and execution of the event, and to The Gage for graciously hosting us. We’re grateful for your support in making this conference a success!
