How do I know what my CountyCat PIN is?: To set your PIN in CountyCat type in your library card number and hit Submit. If it does not let you create a PIN you already have one. The default PIN is your eight digit birthdate (MM/DD/YYYY). If this doesn’t work and you have an email address registered to your library account you can have your PIN emailed to you. Otherwise, please call the Information Desk at (414) 8500 and we can reset it for you.

1. Can I reserve a computer?: The Internet computers are first come, first serve but the word processing computers can be reserved ahead of time. Please call the Information Desk at (414) 302-8500.

3. How much does it cost to print?: The first five pages per day are free. Any further pages are ten cents each.

4. Does the library have wireless?: We have wireless throughout the building.

5. Does the library have a typewriter?: No. The library does not have a typewriter.

6. Does the library have study rooms?: There are two study rooms, one accommodating up to two people and the other up to eight. These rooms cannot be reserved ahead of time and can be used for ninety minutes at a time or longer if no else asks for them. Patrons do not need to have a library card.

7. What word processing programs does the library have?: The library has Microsoft Office 2010, including Word, Excel, Access, and Publisher. These programs are installed on all library computers.

8. Does the library have a public fax machine or scanner?: Faxing is available and staff at the Checkout desk will help those needing to fax. When faxing to a local number, the cost is $1.50 for the first page, and $1.00 for each additional page. When faxing to a long distance number the cost is $2.00 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page.
Scanning is also available, patrons may scan images to a USB flash drive. Scanning is a free service.
