If you’re interested in learning more about the I94 East-West rebuilding project for 2025 through 2029, there will be a Public Information Meetingshosted by WisDOT on December 8th and 9th. This will be in-person and structured as an open house format, in which people can submit comments on a comment form at the meeting. The project team will also be available for one-on-one conversations. 

WisDOT has gone back to the drawing board to reevaluate their options for rebuilding I-94 which now includes a 6 lane version of the freeway as opposed to only 8 lane versions as shown before.  If they rebuild with only a 6 lane freeway, then they can rebuild the ramps at Hawley Road as they exist today with access to and from both directions.  But if they rebuild the ramps at Hawley as they exist today, then they will cancel construction of the new Washington Street connector through Allis Chalmers because it will no longer be needed.
