Dog and Cat Licenses -
Dogs and cats must be licensed in the City of West Allis.
Cats: You must license each cat you have at your property that is over 5 months old. Licenses are valid for a calendar year and expire on December 31. If you have more than 4 cats you must also get an Animal Fancier Permit (see below.) Even if you have an Animal Fancier permit you may not have more than 6 cats more than 5 months old at your property.
Dogs: You must license each dog you have at your property that is over 5 months old. Licenses are valid for a calendar year and expire on December 31. If you have more than 2 dogs you must also get an Animal Fancier Permit (see below.) Even if you have an Animal Fancier permit you may not have more than 4 dogs more than 5 months old at your property.
Click here to apply. You must upload a of the current rabies vaccination certificate and neutered/spayed documentation when applying. Animal Fancier and Dog Park Permits can be applied for at the same time.
All 19 municipalities in Milwaukee County require all dogs and cats to be licensed on an annual basis. All municipalities in Milwaukee County now use the same fee structure for licensing. You may also get the same pet license through MADACC.
Animal Fancier Permit -
Cats: An Animal Fancier Permit is required if you have more than 4 cats at your property. Even if you have an Animal Fancier Permit you may not have more than 6 cats more than 5 months old at your property.
Dogs: An Animal Fancier Permit is required if you have more than 2 dogs at your property. Even if you have an Animal Fancier Permit you may not have more than 4 dogs more than 5 months old at your property.

Dog Park Pass - Daily and Annual
Dog park passes are available for daily visits at $5 per day. Annual license are available for residents for $25 per dog or non-residents for $50 per dog. Only dogs that are spayed/neutered are allowed at the dog park.
