The City of West Allis and Wisconsin Department of Transportation hired GRAEF to design the reconstruction of Lincoln Avenue from 93rd Street to 97th Street.

Project INformation

DESIGN

Proposed improvements include: new street and sidewalk, replacing sewer and water lines, modifying intersections and signals, and installing lights, signs, and pavement markings. On-street parking will be removed for one block of Lincoln Avenue between 93rd Street and 94th Street to fit a two-way left turn lane. Intersection changes at Lincoln and National include extended turn lanes; these will impact median openings and no-parking zones next to the intersection.

The City has retained Single Source, Inc. to appraise and acquire any needed easements or property from the adjacent property owners whose properties abut the project area. Letters went out to affected property owners in May. Existing street right of way and proposed project easements or property were staked to assist in understanding where changes in the right of way limits will occur or where easement areas will be located.
