Permits and Inspections

The City of West Allis Building Inspection and Neighborhood Services Department provides for the health, safety and welfare of the community through regulation of building and zoning codes.

The Building Inspection and Neighborhood Services Department provides

• Building permits
• Electrical permits
• HVAC Permits
• Inspection services
• Neighborhood services (complaints and referrals)
• Occupancy permits (for operation of a business)
• Plumbing permits
• Property owner registration

APPLY FOR PERMITS

To apply for permits, fill out the application found here,  and email all plans and specifications including the application to BINSApplications@westalliswi.gov. 

When a permit is ready to be picked up, you will be required to drop off the fee in the dropbox at City Hall or at our Customer Service Center which is open from 11:30 am - 4:30 pm.  Your permit will be emailed to you along with plans for the jobsite and your inspection card.
